Can the Friends Institute be saved?

A Public meeting will be held on Wednesday 13th May 2026 at the Saheli Hub at 6-30pm

The purpose of the meeting is to look at the options for the building with a view to keeping
it available for community use. David Stevenson has approached council officers and
interested parties to see if there might be a way forward. He will brief the meeting and seek
input from local community about prospects for the future. The intention is to seek
maximum community involvement.

Saheli Hub is located at the corner of Edward Rd and Cheddar Rd – please come
to the big red building just inside the park.
